It is a terrific story! I can't say that I have read the book all the way through, but I have performed in the musical and the story is truly phenomenal. Although it does have a lot of fictional characters (such as Tateh, Sarah, Mother, Father, Brother, Edgar, Coalhouse, Willie Conklin, etc...), it has many historical characters (Evelyn Nesbit, Harry Houdini, Emma Goldman, Henry Ford, etc...). It is truly amazing and will bring a tear to your eye if you cry over sad and happy stories.
